Michael Chiklis may be getting another show. The former local, who is in the unofficial TV hall of fame for his killer work on “The Shield,” and who wears a dome-top and a badge like nobody’s business, will star in a pilot for CBS called “Murder.”

That’s right, “Murder.” Hey why not just cut to the chase?

The show will be based on a British series of the same title.

The episodes will be filmed like a true-crime documentary, and they’ll include the perspectives of cops, killers, victims, witnesses, and family members. Chiklis will play a veteran NYPD detective who gets teamed up with a less experienced and more outspoken partner, played by Teyonah Parris of “Survivor’s Remorse” and “Empire.”

Chiklis is coming off a two-season stint on “Gotham,” and he has filmed the AIDS drama “1985,” which premieres this month at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
