Season 2 of ‘The Kominsky Method’ brings a Michael Douglas-Kathleen Turner reunion

When “The Kominsky Method” returns to Netflix, it will double as a reunion. In season 2, Michael Douglas’s costar in “Romancing the Stone,” “The Jewel of the Nile,” and “The War of the Roses,” Kathleen Turner, will play his ex-wife (and the mother of his daughter, played by Sarah Baker).

Not surprisingly, Turner’s character is described as a person “who delights in still being able to push the buttons of her ex-husband.”

“The Kominsky Method” was the surprise winner for best TV comedy at the Golden Globes earlier this year, and Douglas won for best actor in a comedy. It’s from Chuck Lorre, but it’s not nearly as brash as his popular hits, including “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two and a Half Men.” It’s about getting old and trying to focus on what really matters.

The other guest stars for season 2 of “Kominsky” include Jane Seymour, as a love interest for Alan Arkin’s character, and Paul Reiser, as a high school teacher who becomes romantically involved with Douglas and Turner’s daughter.
