Hand-blown vases are gems

A masterpiece for your flowers

RISD-trained glassblower Caleb Siemon, who also did a stint in a Murano studio, claims that most glassblowers aren’t born artists, but rather, born pyromaniacs. We disagree. Siemon’s candy-colored vases are pure beauty. Hand-blown and shaped in lead free crystal, the vases marry complementary colors, the base opaque and the top transparent. Feb. 14 isn’t far off, and even supermarket blooms would look lovely nestled in one of these signed gems. Vase by Siemon & Salazar, $280 at RISD Works,
20 North Main St., Providence, 401-277-4949, www.risdworks.com
