Lumber Liquidators net income doubles in third quarter

A rise in sales and lower costs helped Lumber Liquidators post third-quarter net income that almost doubled. The hardwood flooring retailer beat estimates on earnings of $12.9 million, or 46 cents per share. That’s up from $6.7 million, or 24 cents, a year ago. The Toano, Va., company said revenue rose about 19 percent to $204.3 million from $172 million. Analysts expected 34 cents.
