Akamai Technologies, a Cambridge company that provides Internet content delivery services, sold a technology that enables marketers to target online ads to MediaMath for an undisclosed amount. The New York company’s focus is online advertising. Akamai’s technology enables clients to rapidly deliver vast amounts of digital data without overloading their networks. It also granted MediaMath rights to a separate technology for use in digital ad and marketing applications.
