Restoration Hardware is opening its RH Historic Gallery on March 7 in the Back Bay space formerly occupied by Louis Boston.
The 40,000-square-foot landmark building has been completely restored and will feature the home furnishing chain’s largest full-line design gallery. The company has attempted to move away from its heritage as a niche business selling knobs and hooks and has positioned itself as a luxury home goods purveyor.
The return of Restoration Hardware will fill one of the most prominent vacancies in Boston. The Boylston Street location was formerly the home to the New England Museum of Natural History.
