Increased cost pressures and higher markdowns hurt Deckers Outdoor Corp., as the company’s fourth-quarter 2012 earnings fell to $2.77 per share, down 12.9 percent. The results, however, beat estimates, sending shares higher. Deckers’ total sales inched up 2.2 percent over last year to $617.3 million but fell short of estimates of $632 million. The California maker of UGG and Teva said domestic sales in the quarter fell to $446.7 million, whereas global sales jumped to $170.5 million.
