Woburn-based LogMeIn, which operates a service that lets people remotely access their computers, said a jury decided in its favor in a patent case brought in Virginia by by 01 Communique Laboratory Inc., the latest development in a long battle between the two firms. But analysts warned investors against reading too much into the decision. “We had attributed no value (positive or negative) to the outcome of the trial, which we viewed largely as a ‘patent troll’ distraction,” Wunderlich said.
