Proceeds from Adidas T-shirts will benefit Marathon victims’ fund

Adidas, an official sponsor of the Boston Marathon, on Thursday launched a limited edition “Boston Stands as One” T-shirt, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to One Fund Boston.

The fund was set up by Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino to support those affected by the twin blasts near the finish line of the Marathon on Monday.


Adidas, also an official sponsor of the Marathon’s organizer, the Boston Athletic Association, will sell the shirt for $26.20 on the websites and

“The selflessness and compassion demonstrated by the City of Boston, the first responders, the Boston Athletic Association, and all Marathon volunteers in providing assistance to the injured have stuck with us and inspired us,” Patrik Nilsson, Adidas America’s president, said in a statement.

“We commend Boston — and those associated with the City and the Marathon — for their reaction to this very challenging situation.”

Earlier this week, Adidas reported that all of its employees who were at the event were safe following the explosions.
