DirecTV sent all the right signals. The largest provider of satellite TV services surged nearly 7 percent — the most in four years, Bloomberg said — as profit beat forecasts. The company is betting on Latin America sales; in the quarter it added 583,000 subscribers there. Excluding one-time costs, DirecTV's profit was $1.43 per share, topping the $1.09 average estimate of analysts polled by Bloomberg.
