Cosi, Blue State Coffee, Blo Blow Dry Bar are coming to Seaport Place

Seaport Place, a Boston waterfront business center that includes office buildings and a hotel, will be home to a Cosi “fast-casual” restaurant, a Blue State Coffee house, and a Blo Blow Dry Bar by the end of the year, the project’s developer said.

The developer is Pembroke Real Estate, and the project includes Seaport East, a 16-story office tower, and Seaport West, a 17-story office tower. Seaport Hotel, Seaport World Trade Center, a variety of retail shops, and two parks are also part of the complex.

(Pembroke facilitates the investment of private capital of FMR LLC, parent of Fidelity Investments, and FIL Limited into real estate opportunities.)

“Così, Blue State Coffee, and Blo Blow Dry Bar will complement and diversify the retail options already available in the Seaport District,” David Lucey, vice president and head of US operations at Pembroke Real Estate, said in a statement. “We are excited to see the development going on around us and these new retailers will help meet the needs of a continually growing population of workers, residents and tourists, as well as our tenants at Seaport Place.”

Blo Blow Dry Bar offers quick, affordable “catwalk-quality” blo outs. No cuts, no color: Just Wash Blow Go. The company currently has over 30 locations across North America, Asia and Russia

Cosi, with a menu that includes “steak & cranberry chili” and a “buffalo bleu” sandwich, and Blue State Coffee are pretty straightforward retail concepts, but the Blo Blow Dry Bar might need a bit of explanation.

According to Pembroke Real Estate’s press release, “Blo Blow Dry Bar offers quick, affordable ‘catwalk-quality’ blo outs. No cuts, no color: Just Wash Blow Go.”

On its website, Blo Blow Dry Bar says: “Scissors are verboten. Dye, ditto.”
