Newton-based TripAdvisor has purchased hotel review website Oyster.com for an undisclosed amount. The travel website operator announced the deal on Tuesday and said Oyster.com, which has reviews and photos for about 150 cities, will be folded into its Smarter Travel Media segment. Oyster.com will remain based in New York City. “Oyster has created some wonderful photo and editorial content of hotels in popular destinations,” said TripAdvisor CEO Steve Kaufer.
