Putnam Investments, a Boston-based money management firms, said Wednesday that it is getting ready to launch a multi-platform brand campaign, building on its association with the US Ski Team and US Snowboarding as they compete in a World Cup Series leading up to the start of the Olympic Games in Sochi in February.

With the theme of “Performance in Motion,” the campaign is scheduled to appear on network television as well as in print, digital and social media. The ads feature Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion skier Ted Ligety. Putnam has sponsored Ligety individually since 2009.

In a statement, Putnam Investments president and chief executive Robert L. Reynolds said: ‘‘Ted and his teammates on the US Ski Team and US Snowboarding represent values that transcend their sport: tireless dedication to excellence, unyielding commitment to preparation and ongoing improvement, and a relentless drive to succeed at the highest level --- competing against the best in the world.
