Consultancy turns year-ago loss into profit

Charles River Associates’ quarterly revenue rose to $75.7 million, compared with $67.5 million a year earlier, while net income was $3.7 million, or 37 cents per diluted share, versus a net loss a year earlier of $53.5 million, or $5.33 per share. CRA also said its board of directors authorized an expanded share-repurchase program of up to $15 million of CRA International Inc. common stock, in addition to the $1.4 million remaining under its existing program.
