Abbey D'Agostino, who became the most decorated individual female athlete in Ivy League history before graduating from Dartmouth College, has signed a multi-year endorsement contract with New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc., the Boston-based company said Wednesday.
Terms of the contract are not being disclosed, said New Balance, a private company that reported global sales of $2.73 billion in 2013.
A Topsfield native, D'Agostino will live and train in Boston under Coach Mark Coogan. As a member of Team New Balance, a team of about a dozen runners, most of them specializing in middle distances, she is scheduled to run in her first professional track meet in Sacramento, Calif., at the USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships later this month.

D'Agostino is planning to compete in a 5,000-meter race. Other Team New Balance members include Jenny Simpson, Brenda Martinez, and Jack Bolas.
Commenting on D'Agostino in a statement, John Evans, a New Balance general manager, said, "Her intelligence, character, and personality make her a perfect fit for our brand and our select roster of fast Team New Balance athletes."
