Natixis Global Asset Management offered additional details on its planned move to a new office building at 888 Boylston St. in Boston.
When construction of its new offices is completed, something expected to happen in the fall of 2017, Natixis looks to move 525 employees from offices at 399 Boylston St. to its new space. Natixis will not keep its space at 399 Boylston St. after the move, a company spokesman said.
In a press release, Natixis said it will occupy approximately 128,000 square feet in five stories at 888 Boylston St. with the option to expand onto a sixth floor, the company said.
Natixis has more than 3,400 employees worldwide, including 1,400 in Boston.
A story in Tuesday’s Globe noted that developer Boston Properties Inc. is moving ahead with construction of a 17-story office building at 888 Boylston St. that will fill the last vacant parcel in the massive Prudential Center office and retail complex. The onset of construction was triggered by the signing of a lease with Natixis.
