The Fallon Co., a Boston-based real estate developer, said that it marked a project milestone Thursday as the final iron beams were affixed atop the skeleton of Twenty Two Liberty, a 14-story residential tower at Fan Pier that will overlook Boston Harbor.

Construction of the tower is scheduled to be completed in late 2015, with Twenty Two Liberty featuring 109 luxury condos, ranging from pied-a-terres to three-bedroom units.

Twenty Two Liberty is one of eight commercial and residential high rises that are part of the 21-acre Fan Pier project.

The project is a joint venture made up of the Fallon Co., the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., and Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers.

In a statement, Fallon Co. president and chief executive Joe Fallon: “It was almost one year ago today that we broke ground here at Twenty Two Liberty, and we couldn’t be happier with the pace of development. Twenty Two Liberty is an important addition to this neighborhood and Boston’s Waterfront, marking a new era for an area of the city that had gone underutilized for many years. Fan Pier is fast becoming a place where people want to work, play and now, live, and we’re excited to be a part of this transformation.”
