Confetti rained down on the crowd attending the ribbon-cutting for the University of Massachusetts Boston’s Integrated Sciences Complex on Wednesday. The center opened at the start of the spring semester in January but the formal dedication was put off until this week. The striking edifice, with a rainbow of colors at night, is now the first thing visitors to the campus see.
