Boston law firm Foley Hoag LLP is opening a small office in New York as it tries to expand its intellectual property and international litigation practices, the firm said Tuesday.
Foley Hoag has hired three new partners to lead its new office: Peter Sullivan and Walter Egbert, formerly of Hughes Hubbard and Reed and Daniel Schimmel formerly with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
New York is one of the largest intellectual property markets and many of the firm’s clients are based in the city, enabling Foley Hoag to provide them with more services, said co-managing partner Adam Kahn.
Foley Hoag, employs more than 220 attorneys, and also has offices in Washington and Paris. The firm plans to hire additional staff for its New York office in the coming weeks and months.Deirdre Fernandes can be reached at email@example.com. Follow her on Twitter @fernandesglobe.
