BRA approves six projects, totaling $224 million

Includes $171 million auditorium for Harvard Business School

Six projects, totaling $224 million, won approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority Thursday.

The biggest is a new auditorium at Harvard Business School in Allston. The new $171 million Klarman Hall will feature a 1,000-seat auditorium and new space for conferences and other Business School events. A second phase next door will come later.

The BRA also approved a $20 million, 127-room loft-style hotel in a former industrial building at 175 Orleans Street in East Boston, and a $22.9 million renovation of the historic Boston Young Men's Christian Union building at 48 Boylston St. in Chinatown into 46 affordable apartment units.

An affordable housing development in Jamaica Plain, the expansion of Epiphany School in Dorchester and a 19-unit apartment building in Roslindale also were approved.
