Boston-based DraftKings and New York’s FanDuel, the two leading daily fantasy sports companies, are becoming one company.

After more than a year of controversy and regulatory scrutiny, the companies ended months of speculation Friday when they announced they intend to join forces.

So what do those forces look like, anyway? Here’s the tale of the tape:

Registered users

5.5 million combined for both companies, according to people with knowledge of the deal. Many daily fantasy sports players are registered with both sites.
