Deal reached to keep Citgo sign in Kenmore Square

After two days of negotiations brokered by Mayor Martin J. Walsh, a deal has been reached between Citgo Petroleum Corp. and Related Beal to keep the oil company’s iconic sign atop a Kenmore Square building, according to an official in City Hall.

Talks had stalled between Related and Citgo, which leases the rooftop at 660 Beacon Street where the neon landmark sits.
