    Big Data: Losing your nest egg can kill you

    It turns out that losing your nest egg can kill you. Researchers at Northwestern University studied 8,000 people in an effort to understand the complicated intersection of health and personal finance. A sudden loss of three-quarters or more of a person’s total wealth during a two-year period led to a 50 percent greater likelihood of death in the next two decades, the study found.
