Hi! My name is Andreya. I want to be a marine biologist.
Andreya, 13, is an endearing, well-spoken girl whom her teacher describes as “full of sunshine.” Engaging, polite, and very bright, she is well-liked by both her teachers and her peers.
In eighth grade she is earning A’s and B’s in most of her subjects (science is her favorite). She would like to be a marine biologist. Both in and out of the classroom, Andreya is known for being passionate and unafraid to speak her mind. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer and basketball.
Andreya, who is of Hispanic descent, is hopeful about finding a family, and would love to be in a home where she could have a dog. She would do best in a two-parent family with no children or older children, in a family who could appreciate her outgoing nature and foster her intellectual abilities. She would like to be able to maintain some contact with members of her birth family.
To learn more about Andreya, and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.mareinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have “a permanent place to call home.”
MARE’s 4th annual Walk for Adoption — A Walk Home — will be held on Sunday, May 19, at Jordan’s Furniture in East Taunton. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., this family-friendly 5K (or less) event is an indoor-outdoor happening. Enjoy games, arts and crafts, entertainment, and food — maybe win a prize! — all while raising money for adoption.
