Celebrity favorite Kara Ackerman Designs is offering 50 percent off a necklace and earrings set as a Mother’s Day special. (That’s right, it’s just a few weeks away.) Faux diamond cluster earrings and a faux diamond-adorned single-strand necklace are $100 (normally $200). The earrings and necklace are available in rhodium, rose gold, or yellow gold plating. If you’re about due for a haircut, you might want to wait until April 28, when the annual HAIRraising cut-a-thon benefiting Boston Children’s Hospital comes back to town. Dozens of salons on Newbury Street and elsewhere will give cuts for a minimum donation of $40. (The amount may vary slightly at some salons; ask when booking an appointment.)
