    Sunday’s children

    Sunday’s Child is Jennifer, 13

Jennifer is 13 and likes to tell jokes and be goofy. She enjoys sports and is interested in dance and cheerleading. Jen likes to be active and she is open to trying new things.

At home, Jen has a healthy relationship with her foster mother. She does best when she is given clear rules and expectations. In school, she struggles with math and reading, but with extra support has made significant improvements. And she loves going to summer camp.

When Jen thinks about her ideal family, she would like a mom and a dad, or a mom. She is proud of her Hispanic heritage and would like a family able to help nurture her connection with her heritage. She has had very positive experiences with past and current foster homes that have a strong female role model. She may do best in a home without children or with young children. Jen also thinks it would be nice to have pets.

The ideal family for Jen would provide her with the attention and nurturing she needs — and would be open to Jen maintaining contact with her biological siblings.
