My name is Xavier. I want to join the Army and protect my world.
Xavier is a bright, resilient 9-year-old described as energetic and with a wide range of interests that includes sports, art, video games, and visiting museums. He is an inquisitive boy who loves going on outings.
He is thriving now in a residential program where the staff has provided him with structure and he has responded well to their encouragement and incentives. They have also made an effort to talk him through major transitions and it has helped Xavier tremendously.
Additionally, Xavier has boosted his self-esteem and worked through some past trauma with the therapy he attends.
Xavier excels in school and particularly enjoys math and English. He also has formed positive relationships with the school staff. Another of his interests is horses: Xavier loves them and wishes he had one he could care for. In the past, he has had difficulty sharing a family’s attention with their pet, but he has completed pet therapy and believes now that a pet would help calm him when he’s upset.
Xavier also relies on the support of his grandmother and brother and would like a family that would help him maintain those relationships.
