During last night’s Republican debate, moderator Megyn Kelley called Donald Trump on his disparaging comments on women.

“One of the things people love about you is you speak your mind and don’t use a politican’s filter,” Kelley said. “However that is not without its downsides, in particular, when it comes to women. You’ve called women you don’t like fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.”

Trump interrupted: “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

“No it wasn’t,” Kelley replied.

Trump didn’t specifically respond to the question of his attitude towards women, instead using the question to make a point about what he considers the nation’s need for “total political correctness.”

Trump and O’Donnell’s quarrel goes back many years, when O’Donnell called out Trump on her daytime TV show “The View” in 2006. The feud — which began over whether a Miss USA winner should be fired for admitted drug use — quickly escalated into a war of words, with Trump calling O’Donnell a “loser,” and “fat.”
