What could be better than a brisk sunset summertime sail? A sunset summertime sail accompanied by suds, of course. Every Tuesday evening in August, Classic Harbor Line hosts “Sails and Ales” aboard the Adirondack III. The cruise line has partnered with Harpoon Brewery for a two-hour tour kicking off at 6:30 p.m. with plenty of drinking and sightseeing — an ideal way to decompress after a long day (or a relatively painless way to socialize with co-workers).
Enjoy lovely views of the Boston skyline and Harbor Islands, all while swilling five of Harpoon’s signature or seasonal beers poured by a helpful Harpoon representative, on hand to discuss each beer’s history and brewing process. The beers are paired with light nibbles; additional post-tasting libations are $5. The cruise is $71, including beer and a post-sail tour of the brewery, redeemed on dry land at your convenience. The cruise departs from Rowes Wharf. Get tickets at www.boston-sailing.com.
