Behind the seams

Founder of luxury retailer The Webster, Laure Hériard Dubreuil, and French-born, Tokyo-based streetwear designer Julien David will discuss the evolution of their brands on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. at the French Cultural Center. The event — which includes a cocktail reception, gallery exhibit and a panel discussion moderated by Michelle Finamore, curator of fashion arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston — kicks off “Behind the Seams,” the center’s new series exploring the fashion industry from distinctly French perspectives.
