Gluttony season is over. It’s time to eat lightly and healthfully — preferably with the help of a Mediterranean guru. Fortunately, cookbook author and TV personality Diane Kochilas arrives at the Seaport’s Committee restaurant (50 Northern Ave.) on Jan. 31 for a meet-and-greet and cookbook signing.
Kochilas will sign copies of “My Greek Table — Authentic Flavors and Modern Home Cooking From My Kitchen to Yours,” with nutritious recipes ranging from avocado tahini spread to portobello mushroom gyros to lots of breakfast ideas (baklava oatmeal, anyone?). The event follows the Jan. 12 season two debut of her travel and cooking show, “My Greek Table,” which airs on WGBH.
Kochilas, along with Committee chef de cuisine Theo Tsilipanos, will serve cookbook-inspired nibbles: phyllo-wrapped feta in poppy seed crust, mini sea bass wraps, and stuffed eggplant.
RSVP to Committee at 617-737-5051; the party starts at 6 p.m.Kara Baskin can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
