Night Shift Brewing’s new 12,000-square-foot brewery and restaurant now has an opening date.

The latest expansion from the Everett-based craft beer maker will open March 20 at Lovejoy Wharf in the North End, the company said Friday.

The new brewery is being branded as an “innovation factory,” where Night Shift will experiment with smaller batches than are currently produced at its 30,000-square-foot Everett facility. In a departure from its current offerings, Night Shift also plans to offer food at the new space: small plates, sandwiches, and salads; but also coffee for those non-beer-drinking hours, according to a Boston.com preview.

The Lovejoy Wharf location is the latest in a series of expansions for Night Shift that have included two seasonal beer gardens along the Charles River in Boston and Night Shift Distributing, a beer distribution company launched in 2016.
