Two (very different) award-winning restaurants team up for one delicious night

Two house-made noodle parlors. Two very different styles of food. Lots of awards. Cambridge’s Yume Ga Arukara was named one of Bon Appetit’s Best New Restaurants in 2018. Pammy’s, just down the road, was also a nominee (as well as the Globe’s Restaurant of the Year in 2017). So much winning! And thus a friendship between Pammy’s owners Chris and Pam Willis and Yume Ga Arukara’s Tomohiro Shinoda was born. The pals began eating at one another’s restaurants and thought: Why not do a hybrid?

On March 31, the pair will join forces for a one-night-only pop-up at Pammy’s (928 Massachusetts Ave.). Enjoy five Asian and Italian dishes — udon noodles in coconut cream and Shinoda’s top-secret chili oil, pork shoulder, and poached quail egg — plus wine and sake pairings from Pammy’s Lauren Hays and Japanese cocktails at Pammy’s bar. Mingling between courses is encouraged. Tickets are $65 per person; call 617-945-1761 to reserve.
