Ronsky’s cafe transforms in June, and a Seaport beer garden blossoms with lobsters, pizzas, tacos

Coming soon: In June, Chestnut Hill’s Ronsky’s café will become Chef Ronsky’s Trattoria, a full-service, 30-seat restaurant (55 Boylston St.). Chef Ron Suhanosky (New York’s Il Buco and River Café; Nantucket’s and New York’s Sfoglia) will serve antipasti, pastas, and other staples from his James Beard award-winning cookbook, “Pasta Sfoglia” (be on the lookout for his signature: spaghetti with strawberries, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, and basil). Visit between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. for the wine bar and until 10 p.m. for dinner and homemade desserts daily.

Brunches: The Seaport’s Tuscan Kitchen (64 Seaport Blvd. at Fan Pier Boulevard) launches brunch service beginning May 19. Feast on ricotta pancakes, semolina raisin French toast, house-cured meats and cheeses, and a raw bar. There’s also pizza — including a breakfast pizza topped with eggs and Hollandaise. Gulp. Wash it down with selections from a Bloody Mary bar on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Pop-ups: Cisco Seaport’s beer garden (65 Northern Ave.) has launched with plenty of beer and an admirable food lineup: Luke Lobster, serving lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls; Flatbread Brighton, serving cheese and pepperoni pizza; and Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar. Enjoy Crantucket Brut IPA, Whale’s Tale Pale Ale, and rose. Kids and pets welcome.

Allston’s Casa Caña (1234 Soldiers Field Road at Everett Street) hosts a Wednesday night al fresco pop-up series beginning in June. Lounge on the patio with specialty dishes, drinks, and live music. The Smoke Shop’s Andy Husbands appears on June 26, Mike’s City Diner’s Jay Hajj visits on July 17, Sarma’s Cassie Piuma cooks on Aug. 21, and Deuxave’s Adrienne Wright (most recently seen on “Top Chef”) closes the series on Sept. 18.

Charities: Eataly’s house restaurant, Terra (800 Boylston St. at Ring Road), hosts a charity meal benefiting No Kid Hungry on Thursday, June 6, with wood-fired food from some of Boston’s best chefs (really): James Beard award-winner Tony Messina (Uni); Cassie Piuma (Sarma); David Punch (Buttonwood, Little Big Diner, and Sycamore); plus Eataly Boston executive chefs Dan Bazzinotti and Sam De Los Santos. Eat, drink (complimentary glass of wine and a cash bar), and groove to a live DJ. Tickets are $95, and the party starts at 7 p.m.
