Lynnfield resident Maggie Battista, perhaps the jolliest woman you will ever meet, is founder of the gift box company Eat Boutique. Her enthusiasm goes into collecting local treats she considers both high quality and comforting. If someone away from New England is in need of a taste of home, the New England Gift Box is an eclectic assortment that includes maple syrup from Williamstown, cherrywood-smoked sea salt from Ipswich, and goat’s milk caramel sauce from Vermont. If you know someone who believes that somewhere it is 5 o’clock, then the Cocktails Gift Box, a collection of artisanal bitters, syrups, and flavored sugars, is in order. Eat Boutique hosts local markets several times a year, where you can meet cookbook authors and vendors and decide who of your friends needs a box of goodies. Eat Boutique fall market will be held Sept. 22 at 290 Congress St., Atlantic Wharf, Boston, www
