Hispanic and other ethnic cookware now at Target

IMUSA

It’s a welcome sight at Mexican restaurants: The server brings to the table a molcajete, the classic stone mortar and pestle, with avocados and the other ingredients for guacamole, then makes it in front of you. Or you might order fajitas, which arrive in a sizzling hot pan with warm flour tortillas. Now Target stores carry these implements, produced by IMUSA, which makes Hispanic and other ethnic cooking tools. The line of Latin-inspired cookware comes with recipes and includes many under-$20 items. One is a granite molcajete, another is a pre-seasoned cast-iron oval skillet to sear meats and vegetables for fajitas, which comes with a wood base for the table. You’ll also find a tortilla press to make your own thin rounds, and a warmer (it holds 20) that is microwave safe. There is a paella pan to make the saffron-laced Spanish rice, meat, and seafood dish. Add a margarita, and you have a fiesta. Available at Target locations.
