Mary Ting Hyatt’s Bagelsaurus to open in Porter Square

Mary Ting Hyatt earned fans for her pop-up bagel shop at Brookline’s Cutty’s. Now she has her very own restaurant in Porter Square, set to soft open on Sunday, Oct.19 (1796 Massachusetts Ave. at Lancaster St.).

“We’ll be a mix of neighborhood-y and modern. We hope to have a lot of regulars in here. On weekends, we want people to make it a destination,” Ting Hyatt says.

Look for her signature pretzel bagels at the 12-seat restaurant, plus new spreads like malted almond butter. (She plans to serve a malted almond butter, bacon, and banana sandwich on a cinnamon raisin bagel.) Instead of lox, she’ll serve hot smoked salmon from Matt’s Amazing Smokehouse in Sudbury. Ting Hyatt also makes her own mix-ins for cream cheeses in flavors like scallion, veggie, and honey rosemary.

The restaurant is open from 7am until 3pm Tuesday through Friday, and from 8am until 3pm on weekends.
