South Boston is brimming with new restaurants and is the ideal neighborhood to host a tasting. On April 12, the 13th annual Taste of South Boston will take place at the Seaport Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m. to benefit the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation, an organization that supports and improves the community. The event will feature bites from some of the restaurants responsible for invigorating Southie's food renaissance, such as Lincoln, Local 149, Pastoral, and Bastille Kitchen, as well as standards like No Name Restaurant and Legal Harborside. There will be beer from Harpoon, a raffle and silent auction, and the Lucky's Lounge Sinatra cover band will provide the entertainment. South Boston is evolving. Come taste the change. Taste of South Boston tickets ($50) are available at the door or from www.tasteofsouthboston.com.
