Apples for baking
Many apple varieties can be used for baking. Author Amy Traverso recommends Pink Lady and Jazz apples for baking whole (they retain their shape and, unlike other varieties, their red hue). Here are some other apples growing at local orchards to use in pies, crisps, and cakes.
