Au revoir, Brasserie Jo: The French brasserie inside The Colonnade Hotel will close on Oct. 7, after 20 years in business. The hotel will undergo a reimagining, with new features debuting in early 2019.
The restaurant opened in 1998, named for chef-owner Jean Joho, who served hearty Alsatian food in a raucous room.
“We hope that those who experienced this special restaurant will pay a final visit to enjoy the French brasserie classics and attentive service that became synonymous with Brasserie Jo and its namesake and multiple James Beard award recipient, Chef Jean Joho,” a restaurant rep said in a statement.
While Joho bids farewell, some things will remain the same: It seems the hotel’s ever-popular seasonal rooftop pool will live on.Kara Baskin can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
