It’s a gluttonous creation, but it might just put you in the mood to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Pauli’s North End sandwich shop on Salem Street (already known for their whopping lobster rolls) is planning to offer a Mexicali Lobster Burger for one day only on Sunday, May 5. A quarter-pound burger is layered with lettuce and tomato, a spicy chipotle sauce, cheese, avocado spread, and seven ounces of lobster meat piled high into a soft roll. The cool lobster meat is a delicious contrast to the warm burger. The chipotle sauce brings a Mexican flavor to the concoction. You can barely clamp your mouth around one ($24; served with French fries; $24.99 with onion rings). Go when you’re ravenous. “We always have crazy ideas,” says owner Paul Barker. “And we’re always inventing fun and decadent new sandwiches.” “Sandwichizing,” he calls it. 65 Salem St., Boston, 857-284-7064, www.paulis
