Our guess is there will be a few more celebrities at next week’s Democratic National Convention than were at the Republican gathering in Tampa. (Not that we weren’t entertained by the “speeches” of Clint Eastwood and “Northern Exposure” actress Janine Turner .) One person we know will be in Charlotte is James Taylor, who’ll trek from the Berkshires to the DNC bash for three performances, the last one on Thursday when President Obama will make his acceptance speech. We’re told JT, part of a lineup that will include Mary J. Blige, the Foo Fighters, and Earth Wind and Fire, will perform “Carolina in My Mind.”
