Aerosmith to play pre-election gig in Boston

Aerosmith said Thursday that it will play a special show in Boston Nov. 5 — but what the band didn’t say is where. The location won’t be revealed until that Monday morning — the band says only that it will be somewhere on the streets of its hometown — but did let slip that it will take place around noon. Steven Tyler and the gang will be urging people to go vote the next day — which just so happens to be the release date of Aerosmith’s new album, “Music From Another Dimension.” The performance precedes the next leg of the band’s Global Warming Tour with Cheap Trick, which hit the TD Garden in July and is set to start up again Nov. 8 in Oklahoma City.
