The Container Store celebrated the opening of its newest store, at the North Shore Mall, by donating a percentage of its opening-weekend sales to the Boston Children’s Museum. It also hosted a preview party for 1,300 guests, and among those enjoying chilled champagne and hors d’oeuvres from La Fete were Children’s Museum president Carole Charnow, and Karin Blum, the museum’s director of development. . . . A shout-out to Margaret Marshall, former chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, and former US Senate majority leader George Mitchell of Maine, who were honored by American Lawyer at Cipriani in New York this week. . . . “NOVA scienceNOW” host Neil deGrasse Tyson stopped into LTK at Logan for a cup of chowder before hopping on a flight to New York.
