Doris Kearns Goodwin, stars celebrates ‘Lincoln’

Local historian Doris Kearns Goodwin joined Tommy Lee Jones, Sally Field, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Steven Spielberg at a screening of “Lincoln” in New York on Wednesday night. Spielberg’s film about the 16th president is based on Goodwin’s book “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln.” Other celebs at the event included Debbie Harry, Anne Hathaway, and “Gone Baby Gone” star Amy Ryan, who was recently in Massachusetts filming the HBO movie “Clear History.”
