The Dropkick Murphys performed at The Boston Globe and Boston.com Thursday, playing an acoustic set for a large lunchtime crowd. Ken Casey said the band had played in a cafeteria and an AFL-CIO headquarters, but never in an office. The performance, part of RadioBDC.com’s “Live in the Lab” series, included a handful of new tunes and a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “No Surrender.” “Bruce, come on up, buddy,” said Casey, looking around. “He showed up once and we keep hoping it’ll happen again.”
