Newton native Julie Taymor, the film and stage director who was famously fired from the big-budget Broadway production “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” will direct “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Theatre for a New Audience in New York, according to Variety. The show will open in November, and will be the first production at the company’s new home in Brooklyn.
