Josh Beckett sells condo at the Ritz Carlton

We can finally bid Josh Beckett farewell. The former Sox pitcher has sold his condo at the Ritz Carlton. According to Banker & Tradesman, Beckett sold the place for $2.8 million — much less than the $3.2 million the property was listed for when it hit the market last August. Even still, Beckett, who bought the condo in ’07, made a profit of $106,250. . . . We’re told The Palm has an opening date. The new restaurant at the International Place complex opens May 15. The Palm Restaurant Group closed the Back Bay location nearly 18 months ago. We’re told the new Palm, overseen by GM Brian Brosnihan and executive chef Karen Mitchell, will be rather ornate, with vaulted ceilings, marble and granite pillars, and windows overlooking the Greenway.
