Who’s that with “NewsHour” pundit Mark Shields? Is it Paul Gigot? Or perhaps Shields’s current PBS sidekick David Brooks? Nope. Shields was in town this week to surprise his brother, who received the Ellen M. Zane Award for Visionary Leadership at Tufts Medical Center’s “Working Wonders” benefit. Tom Shields is the CEO of the Quincy-based Shields Health Care Group. Also honored at the event was Nick Claudio, a 12-year-old from Mattapoisett who’s undergoing cancer treatment at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children and received the inaugural Cam Neely Award for Courage. Guests included former Hill Holliday honcho Jack Connors, WCVB-TV’s Mike Dowling, and chefs/restaurateurs Tiffani Faison, Gordon Hamersley, Brooke Vosika, and Steve DiFillippo. . . . Former Pats player Jarvis Green dined at Empire on Thursday and Comcast Sportsnet’s Jessica Moran supped with pals at GEM. . . . Bruins winger Rich Peverley dined at Nick Varano’s Strega North End Thursday night after the B’s win over the Maple Leafs.
