A shout-out to Janet Langhart
Cohen
, the former Channel 5 TV personality (and wife of former Maine senator and secretary of defense Bill Cohen.) Her one-act play, “Anne & Emmett,” was read by actress Anna Deavere Smith at an event in New York this week supporting the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture. (The play is a fictional conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till.) The gathering was hosted by former secretary of state Henry Kissinger and DC powerbroker Vernon Jordan.
